Employer attitudes to personal accounts: Report of a quantitative survey
Research Report No. 397
by Keith Bolling, Catherine Grant, Alice Fitzpatrick and Matthew Sexton
This report presents findings of a quantitative survey carried out in 2006 to explore employers' attitudes and likely reactions to various aspects of personal accounts. It involved telephone interviews with over 2,500 private sector employers across a range of sizes and industries within Great Britain. The research was carried out by BMRB on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
This study was commissioned as part of a programme of research and analysis carried out by the Department for Work and Pensions to gather evidence to inform the Government's proposals on personal accounts as set out in the White Paper on pension reform, Security in retirement: towards a new pensions system, published May 2006.
