Effective means of conveying messages about pensions and saving for retirement
Research Report No. 239
By Emma Green and Clarissa White
We want to ensure all of the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) communications on pensions and saving for retirement are as clear and effective as possible. The purpose of this three stage qualitative research project was to make recommendations on ways of effectively communicating information about a range of pensions issues. The initial stage of the research explored the information needs of people identified as at risk of under saving for their retirement. During the next iterative stages, information sheets designed to encourage retirement planning were developed and tested with the findings of the second stage informing the development of materials in the third. The research was carried out on behalf of DWP by BMRB International and Alan Hedges..
