This report presents the results of a study of the impact of ESF Objective 3 in England at the local level, which demonstrates that ESF plays a role in encouraging and assisting different types of organisations to get involved in local partnership working. The role of ESF Objective 3 in promoting sustainable development issues is also investigated and a number of suggestions put forward for further developing this role.
