The Characteristics of Lone and Coupled Mothers Working Fewer than 16 Hours per Week

This report looks at the characteristics of non-working and working lone and coupled mothers and uses data from the 1999-2001 DWP Families and Children Study (FACS). In particular the report draws comparisons between those who in 2001 worked less than 16 hours per week, worked more than 16 hours per week and those outside employment.
